Unlinked F1 Posts
Most NETFS Foundation Doctors appointed via the national application service, FPAS are appointed to a two year foundation programme.
Those few trainees with an Unlinked F1 position will automatically be contacted in January to rank the available choices and are subsequently allocated a guaranteed post.
Swapping your F2
There is no process in place for swapping your F2 position if you are unhappy with it for any reason. However, we do facilitate a SwapShop. In February, we collect details of all trainees who wish to swap a whole F2 programme, and circulate the details. It is then up to you to make the swap with a colleague, and submit to our Foundation School Director for approval.
N.B. It is not possible for us to organise swaps of individual posts. It may be possible for this to be organised at your trust, and you will need to contact them to find out their local processes. Any swaps would also have to be approved by our Foundation School Director.
