The North East Thames Foundation School (NETFS) has now merged with the North Central Thames Foundation School (NCTFS) to form the North Central and East London Foundation School (NCELFS) . It is a foundation school of Health Education North Central and East London (HENCEL) linked to UCL Medical School(UCLMS)and Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (Barts).

For August 2018, NCELFS is offering training programmes at the following NHS Trusts:

Barts Health NHS Trust

  • The Royal London, St. Bartholomew's and Mile End Hospitals
  • Newham University Hospital
  • Whipps Cross University Hospital
  • Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust

    Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

    North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust

    Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust

    University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

    Whittington Health.

    Foundation Programme training comprises of a two year linked programme (F1 and F2) for doctors after leaving medical school. It is designed to give Foundation Doctors a range of experience before choosing an area of medicine in which to specialise and delivers an integrated educational programme with defined outcomes.
